IO Interactive has shared a new developer insight video where you can learn more about the new layer of experience Hitman 3 is going to introduce by offering full virtual reality support. Check the video out below!
Come January next year, the Hitman trilogy that successfully rebooted the iconic assassination simulator is going to get its final installment. But there is double the reason to be excited if you are planning on playing it on the PlayStation 4.
Hitman 3 will bring the world of virtual reality to the series and allow an immersive experience never seen before. For the first time in Hitman history, players will be able to go on exploring large maps from a real first-person perspective and plan the perfect murder.
Playing in VR will literally change the way you play with a first-person perspective that lets you immerse yourself into the game world. Stand face-to-face with your targets, blend-in to a busy crowd to overhear conversations and interact with the game world using your hands. For example, imagine that you’ve picked up a frying pan and you sneak up on a guard. You can swing the frying pan in whatever angle you want to knock them out – and then use it to deflect bullets that are fired as you make your escape.
Even better, this VR support will cover the entire World of Assassination Trilogy that started with 2016’s Hitman. A great reason to replay one of the best series of the generation in an entirely different way.
Hitman 3 VR will cover the entire game, not just a meager VR mode, and as such it’s a viable way to play the game without missing out on any content. At the moment Hitman 3 VR will be available right from the get-go when the game launches next January on PSVR. We assume owners of a PC VR headset will get access to the VR mode as well, rather sooner than later.
