Remeber Smuggle Truck? If not, then you should probably know that it was a game about smuggling immigrants across country borders to freedom. Apple didn't take too kindly to the subject matter of the game, so it had developer Owlchemy Labs tweak it up a bit.
The result was Snuggle Truck, a game about capturing innocent animals, removing them from their natural habitat, and forcing them into the zoo. Yes, the game took quite the dark turn. Of course, if the idea of capturing little animals and putting them in a strange new environment frightens you, you can always think of it as simply transferring them to a much better place. That would be a lie, but you catch my drift.
In any case, Snuggle Truck was available back in April for $2.99, though it had a limited launch price of $1.99. If that's too much to ask for what seems like a fun little mobile title, you'll be happy to know that the game is now available for free on the App Store. There are ads after every few levels, but it's free–what are you complaining about?
Of course, if you don't want to deal with ads, you can shell out five bucks for the ad-less version. Or you can help out the folks at Owlchemy Labs by buying the game for $10. A little steep? Maybe. But these guys were forced to change their game and give it a much darker premise, so I suppose they deserve a few extra coins.
