We all knew it was coming, but Apple finally today unveiled the brand new iPhone 6 and its larger sibling, the iPhone 6 Plus.
"The best iPhones we've ever made," Apple says.
Apple is still in the middle of its press conference but here are few bullet points about each one:
- iPhone 6 has a continuous, seamless design. There are no distinct edges. The cover glass curves around the sides to meet the anodized aluminum enclosure.
- iPhone 6 is dramatically thinner
- Both iPhone 6 models feature a new Retina HD display with full sRGB wide color gamut
- Thinnest iPhones ever made
- Powered by the Apple-designed A8 chip (up to 25% faster processing power and up to 50% faster graphics)
- Up to 50% more energy efficient, allowing for higher sustained performance
iPhone 6
- 4.7-inch display
- Resolution of 1334 by 750 with 326 pixels per inch. For a more than 720p Retina HD display.
- 6.9mm thin
- Over one million pixels
iPhone 6 Plus
- 5.5-inch display
- iPhone 6 Plus has a resolution of 1920 by 1080 with 401 pixels per inch. That’s full 1080p HD resolution.
- 7.1mm thin
- Over two million pixels
