Destiny's special week-long Crucible event, Iron Banner, is back.
From today through next Tuesday (Feb. 2), you can face off against other Guardians in a true test of might and power. Remember, gear matters as the auto scaling and balancing is disabled, so be sure to equip your most powerful items.
If you are in need of powerful items, well, then Iron Banner can help with that as well. As always, Lord Saladin has returned to the Tower and he's brought with him some exclusive gear.
As an added twist, this week's Iron Banner is not played as Control, but rather the Rift game mode. Perhaps after a successful run with Clash in Iron Banner (back in November, Bungie is more willing to explore other potential modes to keep things fresh.
Following this week's Iron Banner event, Bungie will rollout Destiny's next big in-game event, "Crimson Days," which is a nod to Valentine's Day. This event will introduce a special 2v2 Crucible mode, "Crimson Doubles."
