Iron Banner returns to Destiny with PlayStation exclusive rewards

The Iron Banner has returned to Destiny today for the third time since the release of The Taken King expansion. This it the first time the Iron Banner has been back in the game since the massive December update. The update brought some pretty big weapon tweaks and class balancing changes – especially for Titans.

Starting today and ending January 5th, the Iron Banner will have Guardians participating in a special Crucible event. What makes the Iron Banner's Crucible events atypical is that the matches allow for advantages. Weapons with higher attack ratings do more damage and armor with higher defense ratings resist more damage.

The event doesn't come without rewards, players will be able to purchase new items from Lord Saladin after reaching a specific rank or will receive it as a post-game reward.

Here are the ranks the new items will be available at (check them out here):

Available from Lord Saladin:
  • Rank 3: Boots
  • Rank 4: Helmets, Auto Rifles
  • Rank 5: Shotgun
Available as post-game drops:
  • Rank 2: Helmets
  • Rank 3: Class Items, Auto Rifles
  • Rank 4: Shotgun

There's even PlayStation exclusive armor:

In case you missed it, the Weekly Reset was today – here's what it brought.
