A large majority of us haven't even seen Spider-Man's MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War but we are already getting details about his new standalone film thanks to some reports from various sources.
According to Variety, Iron Man will appear in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but the details of his role remain a mystery at this time. This doesn't come as a major surprise knowing that the web-slinger is on Team Iron Man in Captain America: Civil War, but it does make you wonder how much screentime the egotistical Tony Stark will get.
In additional news, we reported earlier this week that Michael Keaton was in talks to play the antagonist in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but it would appear that is no longer the case. The Hollywood Reporter's Borys Kit reports Michael Keaton is "not doing Spider-Man. Talks never got past the offer stage.". It's sad to hear that Keaton won't get to continue to his tradition of playing birds, but I am sure Marvel will have no trouble finding someone else to play the villain.
