Let's hope this is the case, because you can never have too much Avengers. With Marvel animated shows seeing big success after The Avengers movie, Marvel is now looking to make a TV series set in the Avengers universe. The Disney-owned Marvel is reportedly talking with ABC about the idea (also part of Disney). According to Deadline, the TV series would have a loose connection to the Avengers universe.
It is being described as a "kernel of an idea," so it's fair to say that it'll be some time before we see this show, if it works out. We probably won't be seeing Captain America or Thor in the show, as one of the scenarios being described is a high-concept cop show… maybe S.H.I.E.L.D.? But I think it would be fair to assume that smaller Marvel heroes could be involved. ABC still has a Hulk series being developed, which is searching for a new writer.
In the mean time, Phase 2 of Marvel movies begins, with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Thor: The Dark World, Iron Man 3, Guardians of The Galaxy and Ant-Man all in different stages of production.
