With PAX Prime going on this weekend, one of the many things that take place is panel discussions. One of those discussions this week was with the developer of the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, CD Projekt Red.
After reporting that over 6 million copies of the game have been sold already, the developer released some information about the upcoming DLC packs due for release later this year. The game's first expansion, Heart of Stone, is supposedly coming along well as it's "almost ready and shaping up really nicely". It will be the first of two DLC packs and feature over 10 hours of content. Following up the Heart of Stone will be the Blood and Wine DLC pack which will include double the gameplay with approximately 20 hours of content.
Perhaps the most interesting thing for you Gwent fans out there (and personally I think Gwent can burn in hell) also came out of the event. In response to a question about the possibility of a standalone card game, it was promised to be passed on to the development team but also said that all fans of the game would be getting "good news" soon. What could this mean? It's anyone's guess but a standalone game surely would make a good splash.
Unlike other games, Gwent actually entails much more skill than luck as is usually the norm for card games. What are you hoping the Gwent news will be? Let us know
