It’s about time we had a Final Fantasy 7-themed PlayStation

PlayStation Ireland today Tweeted out an image of a new, custom PlayStation One, done up in Final Fantasy 7 goodness.

Off-white has replaced the system’s usual grey chassis and works to better accentuate the striking logo emblazoned upon the disc cover. Much like the controller labels, the power and open buttons of the system have been retouched as well, now bearing labels written in a sharper, matching font.

What did PlayStation Ireland did not do, however, is say whether the impressive system will be up for sale, or perhaps auction. Then again, I doubt anyone wants to follow the $750,000 auction for the world’s largest video game collection.
