For many gamers, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is the most anticipated Nintendo 3DS title. Though the game will unfortunately miss the new dual screen handheld’s launch window, potential buyers are excited about it regardless. In fact, many gamers are more excited about the re-release than they are about the actual launch titles.
Recent reports have stated that the upcoming remake of the Nintendo 64 classic will not only feature beefed up visuals and stereoscopic 3D support, but the challenging Master Quest version of the game, as well. While this is enough to get most Zelda fanatics even more pumped for the game, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has worked his magic to ensure that fan excitement goes through the roof. “Of course, the Nintendo 3DS version of Ocarina of Time is crammed with interesting things that weren’t in the Nintendo 64 version, but we’ll wait to talk about those [closer to] release,” stated Iwata.
I think my fellow Zelda fans are just as curious about what new features will be included in Ocarina of Time 3D. At this point, all we can do is speculate and hope that Nintendo makes this a stellar version of the game. Link deserves that much after 25 years.
What could Ocarina of Time 3D be “crammed” with when it launches for 3DS later this year? Will we see some new items? Are we bound to encounter extra modes such as time attack and boss attack? One thing’s for certain: Mr. Iwata, you have our full attention. As the release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D draws near, fans will be watching and waiting for more news from Nintendo.
