J-Idol Supergroup AKB48 Set to Destroy the Lives of Wotas Worldwide

Japan. Words cannot express how much I love you. I love your music, your girls, your dating sims, food, everything. Now what happens when you combine not just two, but three of my favorite pastimes together? It’s the perfect recipe set to liquefy my brain into a gooey state of Wota-happiness and state of perfect Nirvana. So much that I can’t even think, let alone type straight. It’s just that awesome, but I digress. You’re here to learn about this upcoming guaranteed PSP system seller in Japan and teach I shall.

For those unfamiliar with AKB48, they’re currently Japan’s top idol group most recently responsible for the opening theme to Dragonball Kai and their titillating promotional video (PV) Heavy Rotation. Feel free to click here or scroll down below for a sample of their jpop cuteness. As their name suggests, they’re a group of forty-eight amazing girls who perform nightly in Akhibara, Japan and they will ALL be featured in Namco Bandai’s new love sim.

Yes, you read that right. Screw Nene and all the other girls from Love Plus, this is the Ultimate Otaku-product. Entitled “AKB1/48 Idol to Koishitara” the PSP game features every single member. ALL 48. The game starts off with all of the girls going after you and them confessing their love until you just pick one to be your girlfriend. As the first video game to carry the official AKB48 licensing, the game features over 10,000 pictures of the girls, 80 minutes of them confessing to you and full voice during dialogue scenes. Although the game is being made by Namco Bandai, it will be published by Konami in four different versions:

-Standard Pack: Including a copy of the game and a picture of one of the girls at ¥5,229.
-Limited Production: Includes the game, three photos, and a 120 minute UMD video disc at ¥7,329.
-Premier Special Pack: Includes the game, a making of DVD, 10 pictures, kiss stickers, 48 kiss mark battery covers, selectable jackets for the game’s case, a special box, and a special PSP-3000 unit for ¥36,729.
-AKB 1/48 Idol to Koishitara Single Print Run Version, Cannot be Auctioned Box: Includes everything in the Premier Special box except for the PSP priced at ¥10,479.

The game is due for release on December 23 of this year, so for all you wotas….start selling your kidney, your neighbor’s dog, your brother’s fiance; anything you can get your hands on. It’s going to be one hell of an expensive purchase.
