The Marvel Cinematic Universe is getting closer to the cataclysmic events Avengers: Infinity War and now the director of Guardians of the Galaxy, James Gunn, has confirmed that he will be bringing his guns to the production.
It was on a live stream on Periscope where James Gunn held a Q&A session where he revealed for the first time that he would be involved in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. At 6.38 in the stream he was asked "Involved in Infinity War?" to which he simply answered "Yes, I’m involved in Infinity War". Maybe not the most informative answer but still a confirmation that Marvel is bringing in the big Gunn(s) to Infinity War.
It makes sense for Marvel to bring in Gunn for the third Avengers movie considering how he managed to take the less known franchise of Guardians of the Galaxy and turn it into one of the most successful Marvel films. As of now James Gunn's involvement is still only on speculation level, we'll get more light on the matter the closer we get to the release of Infinity War in May 4, 2018.
In other Infinity War news, it was revealed earlier today what characters would appear in Infinity War and there were quite a few surprises, like Captain Marvel making her first appearance, among others, and also confirmation on what expected character would not make an appear.
