Earlier this year, we explored Japan's love of robots, exercise and tomatoes with the Tomatan, a robot that feeds you tomatoes while you run, and now we get to explore the city of Hiroshima – through the eyes of a cat.
A Hiroshima tourism official revealed what led to them creating Cat Street View and it turns out they just wanted to do something unique. “We were seeking to introduce a different way to look at our cities and offer a view of the streets that wasn’t available before.”
Obviously, the Hiroshima tourism board know what they are doing. As you explore the city of Hiroshima a meow indicates when you are approaching a cat and you can even come across videos of cats doing what they do best, nothing. Sometimes they are laying under cars, sometimes they are in the middle of shopping centers, and other times they are being forced to wave at the camera.
