Japan news source Andriasang is shutting down

Andriasang.com's founder, Anoop Gantayat, is moving on to another opportunity and ceasing daily updates.

The website, presented in English, reports news from Japan and often cites the popular magazine Famitsu.

"I may do some database-driven stuff and technology tests (look closely, and you may see the site's backend code base change from PHP to node.js!), but I won't be doing articles or updates," wrote Gantayat. "The site's archive and comments will remain in place, so you can still consult old content and share it with your children, and one day their children, too."

Gantayat started the site in 2008 after working as a Japanese correspondent for IGN.com. Andriasang has been sourced on a number of gaming sites, including GameZone.
