Japanese Star Wars fan builds levitating Millennium Falcon model

In the latest edition of cool things to come out of Japan: a Star Wars fan who goes by the name of @HanakiMasatoshi on Twitter has created a model of the Millennium Falcon that can levitate.

In celebration of the new Star Wars film Rogue One, he built the model of the iconic starship by using a magnetic levitation system from a Dutch company called Crealev.

The parts he used allows the piece to hover 70 millimeters (or 2.8 inches) above the base.

It’s a neat little device and is actually his second time showcasing his levitating works. He previously made a smaller levitating Millennium Falcon last year in celebration of The Force Awakens.
