Japanese Vita sales still not impressing anyone

It's just not happening for the Vita in Japan, man. A few weeks ago we took a look at the handheld system's sinking sales, which just barely passed the 6,000 mark. Here we are several moons later, and sales figures have hit yet another low. That's right, the previous record was broken!

So how are things looking now? Well, for the period of October 22 to October 28 the Vita just managed to squeeze out 5,806 sales. Ouch!

So how is the Vita's main competitor, the 3DS, doing in sales? Well, during the same week, Nintendo's dual screen handheld turned out 61,542 units. I repeat: ouch!
