Jared Leto stated his interest in having his version of The Joker take on Henry Cavill's Superman in a possible crossover.
This year's San Diego Comic Con International was one of the best in years, primarily because Warner Bros. swept everyone into a continuous frenzy over all the newest projects coming our way over the next few years. During their panel for the recently released 'Suicide Squad', Jared Leto stated that he'd be interested in seeing how his version of The Joker would fare trying to mess with Henry Cavill's Superman:
“Ah, ‘Who?’ That would probably be his answer. ‘Super-who? Superboy? He sounds cute. Tights? A cape?’ Superman seems like a lot of fun though for the Joker. The Joker and Superman would be interesting to see onscreen because Superman’s so stoic and morally centred. I think that the Joker would really enjoy that. Superman is just the classic hero and the Joker opposite him would be really interesting.”
While Batman is the perfect counter for the psychotic Clown Prince of Crime, Leto feels that the contrast between the two characters would be an interesting thing to see on screen. Superman, being a pure-hearted, morally bound "do-gooder" might have a difficult time wrapping his head around the nature of The Joker's very existence, and the whole experience could actually help Superman understand Batman just a bit more. Obviously, his intentions don't seem to be in the realm of an actual fist-fight, but more so the idea of Mr. J messing with Superman's life and finding out what makes him tick.
