Jason David Frank debunks rumors about his cameo in ‘Power Rangers’

Don't get your hopes up for a JDF cameo...at least for now.

'Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers' alumnus, Jason David Frank, has debunked recent rumors regarding his involvement in the newest 'Power Rangers' reboot.

If you're a fan of the cult 90's series, 'Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers', than its likely you've been following all the latest updates about the reboot slated for 2017. Recently, we got our first glimpse of Goldar, which was…questionable, to say the least. Among the litany of rumors that have circulated, one gained some decent traction considering its one announcement for which fans have been clamoring.

It was reported that fan-favorite Green Ranger, Jason David Frank, was expected to make a cameo in the upcoming film. As exciting as that would be, Frank took to Facebook to officially denounce the rumor:

It seems the report was based on Instagram comments made by former Blue Turbo Ranger, Blake Foster, who got into a heated argument with fans over the design of the new Goldar. His exact words were "JDF is in it" amidst a very defensive flurry of retorts.

The comment may have been a careless attempt to win an argument with the fan in question, but it may have also been a slip of the tongue and he accidentally alluded to something concrete. In any case, Foster doesn't seem to have any involvement in the movie and Jason David Frank himself has just spoken against the rumors, so this might be the last we hear of this. It seems with all the speculation in the air, we likely won't be getting any official announcements until we get closer to the movie's release this coming March.

Power Rangers releases March 24, 2017!
