We all better be careful with how big we let Lego become, or else we might have an actual Lord/President Business problem on our hands. Last year's The Lego Movie earned $469 million worldwide, which has Warner Bros. Making three more sequels and spinoffs in the coming years – Ninjago in 2016, The Lego Batman Movie in 2017, and The Lego Movie 2 in 2018.
Now, Warner Bros. Has hired Jason Segel and Drew Pearce (the writer of Iron Man 3) to make another new Lego movie, titled Billion Brick Race. There's no plot details that are released yet, but the story behind it was an original story by Pearce that excited the studio enough to move forward with a film. Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Dan Lin and Roy Lee from The Lego Movie are going to produce Billion Brick Race.
Have Segel on board is quite exciting. He helped revive The Muppets a couple years back and has shown an ability to write good scripts, such as The Muppets, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Sex Tape.
There is no release date for Billion Brick Race as of now, and the film is in early stages of development.
