Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been cast as an iconic villain role in The Walking Dead

Reports coming in from The Hollywood Reporter are stating that The Walking Dead has finally cast one of its most iconic villains — Negan.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen, The Losers, Supernatural) will play as one of, if not THE most brutalist, villains in the entire Walking Dead universe. Negan is a very different style of villain for Rick and gang, he isn't as civilized as the Governor. It has been rumored for a long time who will play as this baddie and now we finally know; Negan is also rumored to premiere in the season 6 finale.
In the comics, Negan is the psychopathic leader of a group of survivors called the Saviors and is known for being violent and commonly uses profanity. His iconic baseball bat — Lucille, will surely be entertaining to watch in season 7.
The Walking Dead is on AMC every Sunday night at 9 PM
