Jeffrey Dean Morgan is willing to play Flashpoint Batman

Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan has expressed interest in reprising his role as Thomas Wayne in a possible Flashpoint Paradox movie.

For those that saw Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, you might remember Jeffrey Dean Morgan portraying Bruce Wayne's late father, Thomas Wayne, alongside his 'The Walking Dead' co-star, Lauren Cohan, as Martha Wayne. While he had no speaking lines and was there for the brief explanation of Bruce's origin, Morgan has said that he'd be willing to return to the role for a very specific storyline.

In the comics, The Flash was responsible for resetting the entire DC universe when he goes back in time to save his mother from being murdered. The new multiverse created threw many of the world's superheroes into an alternate tangeant, one of which was Batman. The fateful night when Bruce Wayne's parents were murdered, the new continuity ended in Bruce being murdered, while Thomas Wayne eventually used the torment of losing his child to become a much more violent, angry version of Batman.

"Man, I would love to play that Batman… It would be very cool. Flashpoint would be very cool." -Jeffrey Dean Morgan

With Ezra Miller's Flash introduced into the new DC movie universe in Batman v Superman, it's not unlikely this story could come to fruition. Warner Bros. appears to be willing to try nee and inventive things with their superhero intellectual properties considering the anticiapted success of 'Suicide Squad', so many Morgan's return to the mythos won't be too far behind.
