Jeffrey Dean Morgan on The Walking Dead Season 7: “It’s f—ing Negan’s world now”

Sounds like things are going to get intense.

The first teaser trailer for The Walking Dead Season 7 pretty much set the pace for what we should expect in the upcoming season – which is basically what we saw in the last episode of Season 6. Negan circling the Rick and his crew like a predator (with Lucille on his shoulder) seeking out his target.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the man behind Negan in The Walking Dead, sat down to talk about Negan's role in Season 7. Basically, the crew won't be the kings of the zombie infested world when the show picks up – Negan is.

"It’s a reset on The Walking Dead world", Morgan told Entertainment Weekly. "It’s f—ing Negan’s world now. What you’re going to see in the first half of this season is Negan wreaking havoc. And some of your characters that you’ve grown to love are not going to be on the show anymore, and it’s going to end badly for them. It’s going to be a whole new beginning for The Walking Dead. Really, we’ve taken the show and just flipped it upside down. It’s a different show now. It’s going to have a different feeling. You’re going to see your favourite characters in a position that they’ve never been in before, which is super vulnerable and victimised".

The Walking Dead season 7 premieres October 9th!
