Jim Carrey may adorn tights in his next movie. In what would be his first film since Mr. Popper's Penguins, Jim Carrey is on Universal's wish-list for the sequel Kick-Ass 2. It was reported by Deadline that he would be cast in the role of Colonel Stars, who forms Justice Forever — a group of crime fighters that recruit Kick-Ass.
It would be an intersting role for Carrey, and it would certainly be his highest profile film in quite a while. Kick-Ass 2 is being produced by Matthew Vaughn and directed by Jeff Wadlow. The cast also includes Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and John Leguizamo. I for one am very curious to see how Carrey would be in a movie that isn't shy on violence. We'll report again on whether Carrey and Universal work out a deal or not.
