Video Game Week continued on NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon with the host going hands on with the PlayStation 4. On Monday, we saw Fallon play two games for Xbox One — Forza 5 and Killer Instinct — but last night the Late Night host was joined by Mark Cerny, the chief system architect of the PS4, and the two played a portion ofupcoming game Knack.
While Knack may not have the blockbuster feel of, say, Forza 5 on the Xbox One (which appeared on the show earlier this week), Cerny found other ways to win over the crowd — particularly when Fallon asked about the PS4's ability to play used games.
"We support used games. We don't require an Internet connection," Cerny responded when Fallon brought up that "this system [the PS4] is the only one where you can still play used games."
That, of course, isn't entirely true as the Xbox One will still play and allow the sales/lending of used games; however, there are a few more restrictions publishers/retailers/consumers will have to abide by on the Xbox One. For instance, you can only trade in your used games to participating retailers and you can only give a game to someone who has been on your Xbox LIVE friends list for 30 days or more. Each game can only be given away one time.
