Daredevil and stunt bike extraordinaire Joe Danger is platforming his way to PS Vita, as Hello Games announced today that Joe Danger 2: The Movie will be released for Sony's handheld on Tuesday, January 13.
For those unfamiliar, Joe Danger 2: The Movie, at its core, is a racing/platformer; however, the inclusion of special guests like Tearaway's Atoi and Iota, or LittleBigPlanet's Sackboy make the game all the more charming. These new characters join all nine of the mercs from Team Fortress 2 and Steve from Minecraft, all of which were part of the PC version which also included a special Minecraft stage for Movie Maker, Joe Danger 2's level editing mode.
All of this new content, according to Hello Games, makes Joe Danger 2 for Vita "the biggest-version of the game," with "hours and hours" of gameplay spanning 85 levels and 35 playable characters.
For those who enjoy talking specs, Joe Danger 2 runs at 60 frames per second on the Vita and features ghost downloads so you'll always have someone to race against. Online leaderboards are also included, as are Trophies. And finally, the game has been tuned for Vita controls, even allowing you to create new levels in Movie Maker using touchscreen input.
