John Boyega confirms filming for Star Wars Episode 8 begins tomorrow

John Boyega scooped an award at the BAFTAs and dropped a bombshell afterwards as he confirmed filming for Star Wars Episode 8 will start tomorrow.

The 23-year old seemed pretty excited when he was interviewed just after being named EE's Rising Star of 2015.

He said: "I'm going to be honest with you, I'm running on fumes here. I start work tomorrow, I have a 6am pickup.

"I'm due to be in the car and go straight to do the whole Star Wars stuff again, so tomorrow is my first day."

With work starting tomorrow on the next Star Wars sequel you would expect Boyega to be hitting the hay pretty early, right?

"I am going to the after party. I don't really have a cut off time, my mum and dad are in Nigeria so they can't call me and tell me off."

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been breaking records across the globe since its 2015 winter release and fans will be looking forward to the next addition to the franchise's latest trilogy. The release date for Episode 8 is December 15th, 2017, however the official name for the movie is still yet to be confirmed.
