John Wick: Chapter 3 to hit theaters May 2019

A few years ago, Keanu Reeves stepped back into the spotlight with an action movie titled John Wick. The movie is about a former expert assassin who goes to take down a crime family that has done him wrong. The movie is known for its epic, yet somewhat over the top action and world building. The success of the film spawned a sequel that released earlier this year to critical acclaim and left fans wanting much more.

Luckily, a third movie isn't incredibly far off. Yesterday, it was revealed that John Wick: Chapter 3 will hit theaters on May 17th, 2019, just two weeks after Marvel's untitled fourth Avengers film hits theaters. John Wick: Chapter 3 will also be free from being sandwiched between Avengers 4 and Star Wars Episode IX since IX was hit with a delay after J.J. Abrams signed on to replace Colin Trevorrow as director.

There are currently no plot details available for John Wick: Chapter 3 but series screenwriter Derek Kolstad will return to pen the script. We imagine Chapter 3 will see Wick fighting for his life once again given the ending of the second film. Common's character is also likely still alive so we could see a team-up between him and Reeves as Wick attempts to navigate his way through New York City trying to survive the hit on his head.
