Judge Dredd and Deadpool get their own TV shows

Both Judge Dredd and Deadpool are heading to TV, but not in the same way. Judge Dredd will be released as a live-action show, while Deadpool will be animated.

The Deadpool show doesn't have too many details yet, but here's what we know.

Atlanta creators/executive producers Donald Glover and Stephen Glover are working on an animated Deadpool series as the showrunners, executive producers, and writers. Details on the show are light, but we do know that FXX has ordered a 10-episode first season and that it will debut in 2018.

As for the Judge Dredd show…

Details supplied by Entertainment Weekly reveal that independent studio IM Global and British games developer/publisher Rebellion will be working on the live-action show called Judge Dredd: Mega City One. Apparently, the show will focus on "a team of Judges–futuristic cops invested with the power to be judge, jury, and executioner–as they deal with the challenges the future-shocked 22nd century throws at them."
