Sony has officially gotten around to updating the PlayStation Blog, revealing July's free lineup for games for PlayStation Plus members. Beginning next Tuesday, July 1, PS Plus members will be able to download two games for each of the PlayStation platforms: PS4, PS3, and Vita.
So what can we look forward to? Earlier today, the PlayStation YouTube channel posted the PS Plus video, and I'm happy to say that all of the games are the same. The list of games and some brief explanations of each game are offered below.
PS4
TowerFall Ascension
The "definitive version" of the arena-based archy combat game. Best played competively among friends, this game is inspired by the classics from the golden age of couch multiplayer.
TowerFall Ascension is the enhanced console version of the local multiplayer archery-arena game from indie developer Matt Thorson.Ascension introduces 50 new Versus arenas for a total of 120 levels as well as new power-ups like the drill arrows, which burrow through walls.
Strider
Strider returns in a new adventure with side-scrolling action and lightning fast combat. Need I say more?
PS3
Dead Space 3
Dead Space 3 sees Isaac Clarke return to the depths of space to discover the source of the Necromorph outbreak. This time, you won't be alone though. Joining Clarke is merciless soldier John Carver, allowing you to experience the game with seamless new drop-in, drop-out co-op functionality.
Vessel
"Vessel is built on an optimized liquid simulation featuring flowing water, scalding lava and steam, reactant chemicals, glowing goo and mysterious "protoplasm". Each liquid has unique properties and mixes with other liquids for dramatic effects"
PS Vita
Muramasa Rebirth
This is the only game that differs from the free games PS Plus members are getting in EUrope. From developer Vanillaware, Muramasa Rebirth is an action RPG that blends the vibrant and beautiful world of Japanese mythology and high flying, fast-paced action.
Doki-Doki Universe
Embark on a journey with QT3 to discover humanity and engage with bizarre characters to learn more about them, and hopefully, learn more about yourself along the way. The game includes 18 story planets, 15 additional personality quizes and the Doki-Doki Universe Starter Pack contents.
