What do you get when you take the Jurassic Park movie, $100,000 worth of LEGOs, and the hard work of a father and daughter tandem (with the help of some others)?
Answer: an amazing three-minute short film featuring the best scenes of Jurassic Park recreated in LEGO form. The entire video is fully voiced over and animated in stop-motion production. It's even that that signature LEGO humor and charm we're used to see from the official LEGO games and films.
Animation on the short was started during Paul and his daughter Hailee's Christmas vacation. Paul apparently wanted to show his daughter that it's possible to create anything with LEGOs, and since Jurassic Park is one of Paul's all-time favorite movies, it's understandable why he would dedicated three months worth of intensive work to create this stop-motion masterpiece.
Of course, making something like this requires a lot of work and help. The three-minute film required 5 builders (including master LEGO builder Brian Heins), 4 animators, and 3 visual effects. So while Paul proved you can, in fact, create anything from LEGO bricks, it's important to note that videos of this quality require a bit more than just imagination.
