It's been a long time coming, but it looks like the reboot of the 1994 film, The Crow, is finally happening. Last month, there were rumors that the actor behind Aquaman in the upcoming Justice League movie, Jason Momoa, would be taking the lead role in the film. There was no confirmation of this, except that Momoa posted a picture with the supposed director of the reboot, Corin Hardy.
According to The Wrap, Momoa will be the star and Hardy will be directing. On top of that, the movie will begin filming in January 2017.
Currently, Momoa is slated to play Aquaman in Justice League, which will wrap up production shortly before The Crow reboot heads into filming. It will be quite the crunch for Momoa, because a standalone Aquaman film is scheduled for 2018.
Sources claim that The Crow will be more faithful to the comic it is based on the previous film from 1994. Unfortunately, the studio working on the reboot filed for bankruptcy and this will be the first film they release since filing for Chapter 11.
