Justin Bieber and others got game in NBA 2K13 with secret Celebrity Team

When 2K Games revealed Jay Z as Executive Producer of NBA 2K13, they made it very clear that his involvement would be in a "very streamlined capacity". They said his involvement had more to do with lending his "artistic vision and style" to NBA 2K13, while avoiding gimmicks like seeing him as a playable character on the Brooklyn Nets.

What 2K Games failed to mention was that they had already assembled a whole other roster of Celebrities, led by teenage heartthrob Justin Bieber. In addition to the 1992 Dream Team and 2012 Men's USA Olympic Team is a third Celebrity Team, consisting of a hodge podge of famous celebrities. The roster features Justin Bieber, JB Smoove, Wale, Bow Wow, Chamillionaire, Sean Kingston, Meek Mill, Vinny and Pauly D from Jersey Shore, Mac Miller, and Brian Baumgartner.

Before you bash them, let it be known that these cats can ball. While I can't vouch for their real life basketball scales, their digital personas can keep up with the best of them, including the 1992 Dream Team. While their basketball skills are something to be amazed by, even more impressive is how closely their digital likenesses resemble them, particularly the Bieb's and Pauly D's gelled up hair. It's quite hilarious.

How 2K Games managed to keep this a secret is beyond me, but Bieber's team made it public on Twitter: "Shoutout to @Ronnie2K for putting #TeamBieber in #NBA2K13. Im running the pt. #SWAGGY"

I bet millions of teenage girls went out and bought copies of NBA 2K13 just to play as a digital Justin Bieber. Genius move, 2K.
