Kat Dennings will be reprising her roles as Darcy Lewis for Thor: The Dark World. There's not a lot of details other than Malekith The Accursed being the villain and elves being in the movie, but it's safe to assume that Denning's role of Darcy will be a little bit more than the comic relief part from the first Thor.
In Thor, Darcy Lewis isn't as science-saavy as her coworkers, but she notices some things first — like the anomoly and that Thor fell out of it. She's also quite handy with a tazer. I don't know how much her role could expand with Natalie Portman and Stellan Skarsgard around as Jane Foster and Erik Selvig. But then again, Kat Dennings has a lot more star power now than she did previously. Thanks to the popular CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls, Kat Dennings is really hot right now.
Thor: The Dark World is set to release on November 8, 2013.
