Bethesda announced today notable members of the renowned cast lending their voices to The Elder Scrolls Online, the upcoming MMORPG from developer ZeniMax Online Studios. Included in the star-studded cast is Academy Award nominee John Cleese (A Fish Called Wanda, Monty Python and the Holy Grail), Kate Beckinsale (Van Helsing, The Aviator), Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2), and my personal favorite, Golden Globe winner Bill Nighy (Pirates of the Caribbean, Love Actually). In addition, Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman) will be returning to the Elder Scrolls series to repires her role from Skyrim.
“This extraordinary group of actors helps bring the distinctive characters in The Elder Scrolls Online to life,” said TESO game director Matt Firor. “In The Elder Scrolls tradition, we sought world class talent to add a deep and enriching component to the immersive world the series offers players.”
Getting into specifics, John Clees plays Cadwell, the "cheerful and endearingly mad lost soul who is not afraid of anyone." Bill Nighty — the sexy man known for the song "Love is All Around" — plays a merchant prince whose luck and determination won him the throne. Kate Beckinsale, meanwhile, takes on the role of Queen Ayrenn, the leader leader of the Aldmeri Dominion and Queen of the High Elves.
Other notable actors and actresses lending their talents include Peter Stormare (Fargo), Jim Ward (WALL-E), Jennfier Hale, and Kevin Michael Richardson.
The Elder Scrolls Online is due out for PC on April 4, 2014. It's also coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but not until June 2014.
