Kate Bishop revealed for Marvel’s Avengers plus late game content

The newest War Table digital event for Marvel’s Avengers, which is also the last before the game launches this Friday, is jam-packed with juicy new info about the superhero adventure. Clint Barton protégé Kate Bishop has been unveiled as the first new character to arrive in the game after its launch. Check the character trailer out here!

Kate Bishop is a suave and just plain cool archer youngling brought up by none other than Mr. Hawkeye himself, Clint Barton. The cult comic book character- who also known as Hawkeye – is now confirmed to become the first new playable hero character sometime in October.

But there’s much more to be excited about other than just a new hero to play as. Together with Kate, the story will continue from the campaign’s end of the base game, introducing a new villain as well. Clint Barton was previously confirmed to be introduced after the game’s launch and going by the new info from the developers, he and Kate are intended as a ‘Double Feature’ post-launch.

Best of all, Kate Archer will be available for absolutely free to every player. Just like any other future character. A great decision by the publisher and developers which guarantees a level playing field and no partition among the user base. Each character will get their very own Battle Pass for a $10 which includes cosmetic unlocks.

Besides the new character reveal, this recent War Table also shined a light on the content for high-level players. Villain Sectors, AIM’s Secret Lab, Mega Hives, and Shield Vaults are challenging mission types that will require good knowledge of your powers and teamwork to overcome. Watch the entire event linked above.

Marvel’s Avengers launches this Friday, September 4th for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. Next-gen releases for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will follow this Holiday season.
