Kazuma Kiryu Playable in Binary Domain

It looks like Kazuma Kiryu, star of the famous Yakuza series will be making aguest appearance in Binary Domain, an upcoming third-person shooter that's also being made by the Yakuza Team.

"Since this is from the Yakuza team, after all, we figured we'd offer this as a present and as a symbol of the spirit we're putting into this," Producer Toshihiro Nagoshi told Famitsu magazine. "Some people may see him as too out-of-place in this near-future setting, but the game is set in Tokyo, after all – I don't think it'll feel that strange. I hope you have fun having him go crazy on people."

Unforunately, Kazuma won't have a role in the campaign mode, but he will be playable in online multiplayer.

Binary Domain is set to release on PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 14 in the US and February 16 in Japan.  Though it hasn't garnered much attention lately, Binary Domain is gearing up to be a great game, as evidence by my experience at E3 and PAX.
