Zen Studios will release their rhythm game KickBeat on the PlayStation Vita this summer.
The makers of the Zen Pinball series have combined "beat-matching mechanics with an acrobatic style of martial arts." In KickBeat, players can use music for their digital libraries to create their own in-game tracks.
“Several years ago, we asked ourselves, 'What would happen if we took a beat-matching game, replaced the abstract cues like bars, arrows, and button icons with kung fu fight scenes, and set it all to some incredibly intense music?'” said Creative Director Neil Sorens.
The company has worked on the game for three years. The game's soundtrack features songs from Pendulum, Marilyn Manson, and Rob Zombie.
