Kickstarter launches in the U.K. with clearer shipping costs

Kickstarter launched in the U.K. today. The popular crowd-funding website has been the home to new and wildly successful video game projects, such as Double Fine Adventure, Project Eternity, and Ouya.

Now, U.K.-based game studios and indie developers can pitch their own projects. This means we can expect a lot more games to pop up on the site.

Their campaigns will be visible alongside U.S.-based ones on Kickstarter, only now we'll be on the side of international shipping costs. Kickstarter has implemented a more steamlined system for apply these charges, making costs easier for backers to see. The change went into effect earlier this month.
