Earlier today during the Konami press conference, Kojima dropped the bomb that Kiefer Sutherland would be the next voice actor to be Snake in Metal Gear Solid 5. While it certainly sounds plausible, after all, we did get to hear Kiefer during the Phantom Pain reveal trailer, although his voice didn't belong to Snake, but rather the accompiced bandaged man.
Then today, David Hayter tweeted out a very sarcastic statement, pairing Kiefer's Snake to the New Coke, which, for some people that don't know, was a complete failure, but is this all a part of Kojima's bigger plan?
This is the 'angry' tweet from Hayter.
Ah well,Can't fault @realkieferGreat actor, good man.The game will probably still be excellent.Like New Coke!

However, let's look back on Hayter's twitter, which stated this:
I'm so excited for E3!I just hope I don't lose my voice.;-)

So does this mean that Kojima and Hayter are both just playing one, big, mean joke on all MGS fans? After all, since Kiefer was a part of the Phantom Pain trailer, it makes sense that he probably wouldn't have minded doing something like this with Kojima.
I guess we just have to wait until E3 to see whether Kiefer will indeed be the new Snake or whether it was all just one big, elaborate ruse.
