Sony has announced the release of a standalone version of Killzone: Shadow Fall Intercept.
First released in June as an expansion for Guerrilla Games first-person shooter, Intercept offers a four-player online co-op mode which places you and the group on the elite VSA team known as Intelligence Squad Alpha. Operating behind enemy lines, your mission is to intercept and relay Helghast military transmissions back to VSA headquarters. It's wave-based, requiring you to keep the Helghast away for however long it takes to establish a Hacking Uplink and transmit the data. It also comes with four arena maps inspired by locations from the single-player campaign, though Guerrilla Games has plans to release additional free maps.
As a standalone, you don't need a copy of Killzone: Shadow Fall to enjoy this content. It's available to any PS4 owners for just $19.99.
