Killzone Shadow Fall may be supported with free multiplayer maps post-launch, but Sony and Guerrilla Games still have plans to implement a Season Pass. Guerilla Games producer Porioa Torkan reassured fans that the game's competitive multiplayer maps will still be released for free, but also revealed that the studio is working on paid expansion packs that will "further enhance your online experience."
For $19.99, you'll save on the first six expansion packs for the game, including an online co-op expansion, three co-op map packs, and two additional multiplayer map packs.
The online co-op expansion will add a new co-operative game mode in which you and three friends must survive waves of enemies in four new arena maps. This features a unique leveling system and new unlocks. The three co-op map packs consist of two brand new arena maps that can be experience in co-op.
Guerilla Games hasn't yet revealed details regarding the additional multiplayer expansion packs, but promised to do so once Killzone Shadow Fall's launch date nears. "Suffice to say they'll offer many hours of additional multiplayer thrills," Torkan promised. Additionally, those who purchase the Season Pass willr eceive access to an exclusive OWL combat drone skin and a unique Multiplayer Spotlight move.
