Kinectimals Bears Edition Revealed

Kinectimals, the once laughable controller-free title, has proved to be one of the most successful titles in Kinect’s portfolio, and to celebrate, Microsoft has announced a new edition of the game.

The Kinectimals, Now with Bears! edition is set to replace existing Kinectimals products on store shelves. If you are worried that you will have to purchase this edition to get the new content though, you’re wrong. Microsoft Game Studios added in the press release that those who already have a copy of the game will be able to upgrade their menagerie through DLC.

So this edition/DLC adds bears, right? Yes, along with black, polar, panda, grizzly, cinnamon and glacier bears being added to the line-up of adorable animals, players will be able to embark on a new quest to track down Captain Blackwood’s treasure from 200 years ago.

When the Now with Bears! edition releases this fall, a series of plush toys will be available in select retailers, too. These figures will feature tags that can be scanned by Kinect – giving players more in-game critters.
