King’s Quest The Complete Collection available for digital pre-load and pre-order now

Sierra Games and Microsoft have announced that King's Quest The Complete Collection is available to pre-order and pre-download on Xbox One now. The game is a redesigned take on the original as King Graham reflects on his life with his granddaughter Gwendolyn. As Gwendolyn, you will be transported back in time over the game's five chapters in order to experience your grandfather's stories. Each chapter of the game will focus on a single story that the aging King is telling Gwendolyn.

Although it's been a while since the original game's release, this will be the ninth game in the series and will be the first that is not point and click. The first chapter in the game releases on July 29th and all additional chapters will be available to download upon their release should you choose to purchase the Complete Collection for $39.99. There is no ability to pre-order the first episode individually as of yet, but if you go that route if it's made available, you will miss out on the King's Quest Epilogue which is only available through the Complete Collection.
