Kingdom Hearts 3 gets extensive new trailer with gameplay and story

Kingdom Hearts 3 is finally just weeks away after over a decade of waiting. Square Enix’s wholesome Disney adventure has a brand-new trailer introducing us to more of the game’s story and gameplay, showcasing trouble across various Disney worlds like Toy Story, Monsters Inc, and more.

It looks absolutely fantastic, to say the least, and promises both drama across the lands and intense action to keep you on your toes. The trailer also features a new look at Stitch from Lilo and Stitch as a summon and cooking-themed Keyblade attacks for Ratatouille. You can view the trailer below.

This weekend, the game managed to get in the hands of some people well over a month before release and leaks have begun surfacing. While there’s been an effort from Square Enix and Disney to control the leaks, it’s not always possible to completely exterminate them from the internet.

Fans don’t have to worry too much as the game’s “biggest secrets” (the epilogue and a secret movie) are actually coming at a later date, likely a post-launch patch. Game director Tetsuya Nomura issued an official statement over the weekend when the leaks began, you can read it below.

“We’re aware that a small portion of Kingdom Hearts 3 has been circulating online before its official release. We are also aware as to how this has all happened. We’re sorry to see this caused concern amongst our fans who are excited for the release.

“The whole team has been working together since yesterday night (Japan time) to investigate what we can do to better this situation, but first we would like to ask that you do not share these videos.

“The game’s epilogue and secret movie, which are the biggest spoilers in this game, are planned to be released at a later date just in case, so they will not be shown before the game’s release.

“We want everyone to be able to equally experience the full game after its release, so we ask for your continued support on this matter.

“We’re also very grateful that our fans have been warning each other already about the spoilers. Thank you very much.

“We’re one month out from the release, Let’s enjoy the game together when it releases on January 29, 2019.”

Kingdom Hearts 3 will officially launch on January 29th, 2018 for Xbox One and PS4.
