Fans eager for news regarding Kingdom Hearts 3 will want to look past E3 this June and set their sights towards Japan's D23 Expo in November. According to Tetsuya Nomura, that's when we should expect to see more about the highly anticipated game.
"We have some interesting things planned," he told Famitsu (via Gematsu). "There will be Kingdom Hearts 3 news, and various things [at D23], I think."
Nomura did provide a vague update on the game, saying development is "going smoothly, but there will also be new announcements connected to it."
"As one of those new announcements, I think we should be able to announce a smartphone-specific development for the series in short order," he added.
Kingdom Hearts 3 was first teased at E3 two years ago, but we've heard very little of it since then. We know it's coming to both PS4 and Xbox One, but there's currently no release date. We've heard rumors of a 2015 release, but given the lack of information, as well as past quotes from Nomura who even admitted to showing off the trailer prematurely, I doubt that'll happen.
