Today at D23 Expo, Disney Interactive held a presentation on upcoming software and other content from the studio, including Disney Infinity 3.0. In the days leading up to the event, Disney Infinity's official Twitter account teased that there would be world-first reveals on future content for the game. Some of the news from today's included that Kingdom Hearts content would come to Disney Infinity.
The foremost of these is the ultimate unlock for maxing out the levels of all figures. In Disney Infinity 2.0, that reward took the form of Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder. And in Disney Infinity 3.0, the most dedicated of players will get to wield Sora's Keyblade in the Toy Box — a prestigious goal indeed.
Those who were in attendance at D23 Expo were also treated to a special Costume Change Power Disc that, when paired with a Mickey figure, will allow use of his King Mickey outfit from the Kingdom Hearts games. Unfortunately for the rest of the Disney Infinity community, this coveted Power Disc will remain exclusive to the show and won't be sold in stores.
Too bad about the Power Disc, but the ultimate unlock for this year's iteration is a wicked reward that only an elite few (i.e., those with a deep bench and equally deep pockets) will ever get to use.
