Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX gets a release date

While we'll likely have to wait for late 2015 for Kingdom Hearts 3, fans of the series will have something to at least hold them over: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX. Square Enix announced today that the new collection, which includes remastered versions of Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix along with cinematics from Kingdom Hearts Re: coded, will be released in North America on December 2, 2014. It will be priced at $39.99.

And since we're just a few days away from E3, Square Enix has also decided to include a little E3 trailer. It opens up with memorable scenes from Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX — which included the original Kingdom Hearts (Final Mix version), Re: Chain of Memories, and HD cinematics for 358/2 Days — and leads into key highlights, scenarios, and gameplay from Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX.

All of this, of course, leads up to the released of Kingdom Hearts 3 which was revealed during last year's E3, but we really haven't heard too much about it. For those looking to get into the series before the release of Kingdom Hearts 3, I suggest first playing Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX.
