Square Enix has revealed that the PlayStation 4 is about to get one HD remaster richer with Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue! The announcement was made during Square Enix's Tokyo Game Show 2015 stage event that had been teasing a mysterious announcement up until the actual event.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 follows the same model that the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX and 2.5 ReMIX have, where three titles are wrapped into one package. So what's in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8?
A full-HD remaster of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, a completely new HD theater cinematic called Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover and a short brand new Kingdom Hearts playable episode called Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage-.
Back Cover will link the story of Kingdom Hearts 3 to Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, through the perspective of Aqua and Back Cover will tell the story of the Foretellers that will be featured in the Kingdom Hearts Unchained mobile game.
No release date has been revealed, but Square Enix did confirm that development on the remaster has already begun.
