Knytt Underground is ‘best-looking’ on Wii U; coming before the holidays

Swedish developer Nicklas "Nifflas" Nygren is bringing his indie adventure-platformer Knytt Underground to the Wii U eShop on Dec. 19, publisher Ripstone announced today.

Nygren touts this version as the "best-looking" thanks to "new graphical effects and flourishes." The title debuted last year and is also available for PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 3, and Vita.

The Wii U version will also receive the exclusive "Infinity Hype" content update.

Knytt takes players underground to mysterious tunnels, where sprites, fairies, and other creatures dwell after the planet's near-total destruction hundreds of years ago.
