Konami programmers worked overtime to release Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain on PC without delay

Up until earlier this month the PC version of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain had a vague 'sometime after console release' release date, but all of this has changed and the game will release on PC alongside the console version.

“We initially did not think it would be possible to get such an epic game out onto PC in time for launch alongside its console counterparts, but all involved have worked diligently to meet the demands of our PC consumers,” commented Tomotada Tashiro, President of Konami Digital Entertainment B.V..

When Tashiro says 'diligently,' he really means it. Ken-Ichiro Imaizumi, the Senior Producer at Konami Computer Entertainment Japan responded to a Twitter user who was making claims that, "Konami doesn't care about PC users." Imaisumi replied saying that the developers working on the PC version worked overtime to make the game's release happen alongside the console's release.

According to Twitter, the 'kinda sad' portion of Imaizumi's tweet wasn't in reference to the extra workload, but to the fact that someone would suggest that Konami didn't care.

Anyway, judging Konami's care-meter by their PC releases isn't right, the guy should be looking at Konami moving forward with the Metal Gear Solid series without its creator Hideo Kojima.
